DRY NEEDLING
Dry needling is an extremely effective technique utilized by chiropractors, physical therapists, and medical doctors as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for musculoskeletal injuries, injury prevention, and recovery from exercise. Dry needling has been shown to reduce pain, control inflammation, relax soft tissue, and stimulate the body’s natural tissue repair process without the use of pharmaceuticals such as NSAIDs, painkillers, steroids, and muscle relaxants. The goal of all therapy is to help patients heal more effectively from their injury, establish stability, and get back to doing what they love. Dry needling is one more tool in the bag that we utilize here at Dr. Pete's Chiropractic to make the healing process as efficient as possible.

PERFORMANCE THERAPY & TRAINING
Our patients do not have to stop at rehabilitation. We regularly streamline patients from post-op to performance enhancement through specialized training and programs. We go above and beyond traditional rehabilitative physical therapy and can exceed your expectations and optimize your performance.
BIOMECHANICAL EVALUATIONS
At Dr. Pete's Chiropractic, we believe that no two bodies are the same, and this is reflected in our full body assessment and individually-customized treatment plans. Our experts evaluate range of motion, strength, flexibility, gait, posture, balance, and any specific impairments you might have. The practitioner will develop an individualized plan with the overall goal improving movement patterns and reducing the risk of possible injury. This plan can be implemented by yourself, your personal trainer, or with continued treatment with your clinician.
KINESIO TAPING
Kinesio Taping is a rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process, while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion.
CONCUSSION MANAGEMENT
A concussion is a treatable injury. As a practitioner certified in concussion management, Sarah will complete a comprehensive and targeted evaluation of a patient’s deficits caused by concussion, or post-concussive symptoms. The goal of this evaluation is to help streamline a targeted treatment program with the hope of “return to life”, including “return to learn” and “return to play”. She will help to form a team surrounding the patient to support his/her journey including family, teachers, coaches, and friends among other healthcare practitioners. Elements of concussion management include evaluating a patient’s balance, musculoskeletal system, vestibulo-ocular system, cardiovascular capacity, among others. Gone are the days of sitting in the dark. This active treatment approach may be the answer.
CUSTOM CORRECTIVE ORTHOTICS
Pete Scher, DC, makes custom functional corrective orthotics using a unique rehabilitative and casting protocol. Prior to casting the foot, Dr. Scher rehabilitates the foot utilizing soft tissue manipulation, adjustments, and exercise to maximize the natural foot mechanics and minimize foot pathology. Foot flexibility, body weight, and activity level are factored in when designing the orthotic, and the orthotics are individually calibrated based on those measurements. This evidence-based protocol was created with the intent to design the most functional corrective orthotic possible. Orthotics may be recommended as an adjunct for the treatment of numerous structural imbalances, weaknesses, and symptoms, including: plantar fasciitis, foot pain, back pain, knee pain, hip pain, ankle instability, Morton’s Neuroma, bunions, heel pain, hammer toes, shin splints, Achilles tendonitis, metatarsalgia, sesamoiditis, and many other conditions affecting the foot and the structural foundation.
